Welcome To Horse Partners

Based near Salisbury in Wiltshire, Trudy works using the positive approach and methods developed by Linda Tellington - Jones (TTEAM), the principles of Connected Ground Work® and Connected Riding® developed by Peggy Cummings together with her own knowledge from working as a Physiotherapist.

Whether you do horse agility, work your horse at liberty, take part in riding club activities or just enjoy hacking out with your horse, the work that Trudy does has something to offer.

Trudy aims to help owners better understand their horses and to enable owners to help their horses to be the best they can in the work they do.

A human physiotherapist by background, Trudy has much experience working with people with various neurological problems, working in Spinal Units within the UK and New Zealand. Trudy is also a TTouch Associate for People.

Trudy is qualified as a P2 Tellington TTouch Equine Awareness Method (TTEAM) Practitioner.  She is a member of the TTEAM UK Guild and a TTouch Associate Tutor and regularly assists on training courses at the UK TTEAM training centre.

Currently, Trudy is a Connected Riding Practitioner in Training, studying Connected Riding® and Connected Groundwork® with Peggy Cummings and has completed the School of Connected Riding® Training Courses, SCRT 101 and 102 in Spain.

Trudy's teaching methods reflect the TTEAM code of conduct and philosophy and:

  • Recognises the individual learning process of every human and animal.
  • Works with animals using understanding rather than dominance.
  • Respects each animal as an individual.
  • Honours the role of animals as her teacher.

What does a session involve?

To help your horse, Trudy uses a combination of body work, ground work and leading exercises to reduce tension in the body resulting in mental and physical balance for your horse.  These exercises may be taken into your ridden work to help develop a true partnership where both horse and rider are in balance.

As the owner, you will be shown how you can help your horse both in hand and under saddle.

Sessions cost £40 and will generally last between 1 and 1 ½ hours depending on your horse's need.

Travel costs apply @ 45p per mile.

Messages from grateful owners.

"Thank you so much for all the time and energy you have given to share your knowledge and the way you understand horses.  You have revolutionised not only my riding style but also the way I think about horses and my impact on them.  I look forward to continuing working with you.

"Thank you for all the help, advice and friendship you have given me since we started sharing knowledge.  The journey has been exceptional and I'm looking forward to this continuing. Thank you for giving me back the horse I thought needed retiring"
